Kiron
Kiron Cooperation Programme
What does Kiron gGmbH do?
What does this mean for our partner companies?
For the cooperating companies in the dual study programme, it means that they can gain qualified applicants through the Kiron programme who they might not have reached otherwise. Overall, the prospects for refugees to complete a dual study programme within the framework of a training contract with a cooperation partner are very good.
How can something like this look?
The example of Kamal shows how Kiron activates competences and talents of people with refugee experience:
Kamal, a Kiron student from Syria, started a dual study programme at the Leipzig University of Cooperative Education in August 2017. He previously spent a year at Kiron and worked part-time at a marketing company. At the time of taking up the dual study programme, he had a German level of C1.
Kiron students have already taken modules in business administration and computer science as well as other preparatory and language courses via recognised Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), thus qualifying themselves linguistically and professionally. The possible recognition of the MOOC modules also means a relief for the students during the theory phases with us in the dual study programme.
Our goal as the Duale Hochschule Schleswig-Holstein is to work with the cooperating companies to recruit qualified Kiron students for the Business Administration and Business Informatics degree programmes.
